Puck Cancer Event

Doing good is a common desire among cannabis consumers, and it's a principle upon which our entire business operates. Serving the people of our community is what makes the Justice Cannabis Co. family feel fulfilled and complete. Our company is built to serve, whether that means providing quality products people need at a price they can afford or fighting to expand access to our favorite plant throughout the country. But doing good isn't just about increasing cannabis accessibility. It's about finding opportunities to help in whatever way we can. Social responsibility is especially important for companies that have the ability to do so. In fact, we have our Justice Serves program, which makes it easy for employees to volunteer their time by providing extra paid time off for community service opportunities.

When we team up with an organization, we like to be sure they share our passion for doing good, which is why we are proud to highlight one of our partners in community service.

Puck Cancer is a 501c3 that was founded to help alleviate the financial burden that cancer patients face during their treatment and recovery. The organization makes raising money for a good cause even more fun by holding foot hockey tournaments for donors to enjoy. Audiences get to watch spirited competition while money is collected for a noble cause. All proceeds go to the Medical Oncology Associates, which is dedicated to relieving financial stress for patients undergoing cancer treatment in the northeast Pennsylvania area. Since Puck Cancer first hit the field in 2012, the group has raised more than $100,000.

Naturally, when they approached Justice Cannabis Co. to be a sponsor for their most recent event, we were thrilled at the opportunity. Our company has partnered with them before, and we were eager to join the cause once again.

On September 19, 2021, Puck Cancer held a marathon golf event where they played an impressive 54 holes in one day! The golf game was organized to raise money toward a resurfacing project for a court that is instrumental to their fundraisers. Justice Cannabis Co. was able to donate money for a sponsorship and contribute shirts to the cause, and we couldn't be prouder to see our swag represented at such a fun event.

The fundraiser was a tremendous success! Our friends over at Puck Cancer raised a total of $3,200! Thanks to their determination, the basketball court where they hold their fundraising hockey tournaments will be on its way to a brand new surface for the players and the community as a whole. Hats off to Puck Cancer!
